An ankle brace for ankle sprain helps patient to get a better and faster healing. Sprained ankle is a common injury among athletes in all types of sports. However, an athlete in a sport with a frequent pressure on ankles, like Soccer, Football, Basketball, or running; is highly exposed to an ankle sprain. Patient should use a sprained ankle support in order to recover faster; not only that, but also to alleviate related pain and swelling.
Ankle sprains are categorized according to three grades of severity. Each grade has its own ankle brace type:
For Grade 2 sprained ankle: many ankle support types exist. Patients can wear a lace-up ankle brace, hinged ankle support, or the ones with stays.
For Grade 3 torn ankle: a rigid ankle brace is recommended in order to stabilize and immobilize your ankle. A stirrup ankle support or an air cast boot would be the right choice for a severe ankle sprain.
