Step-by-step guide: How to fit an Air Cast boot?

The pneumatic Air Cast boot is so easy to put on. It adds an optimum comfort during patient’s recovery from an ankle sprain or foot fracture. The customized fit provided by the multiple aircells and the adjustable strapping system provide a maximum foot and ankle support, for a faster healing.

To fit the Aircast boot properly to your fractured foot or torn ankle, just follow the below step by step fitting tips:

1. Remove plastic shell and open the velcro lining
2. Place foot in boot with heel wedged against back
3. Do up the velcro lining, over the toes
4. Place the plastic shell over the lining
5. Do up the velcro straps. Do the bottom one first, making sure it is not too tight. The toes should have some wiggle room.
6. Loop the strap through the smaller hole in the buckle and out of the larger hole, and pull until it feels tight enough
7. Inflate the Air casr boot with air by pressing the balls attached to both sides. Allow air to enter through the small hole in the ball by taking your finger off after each pump
8. To release excess air, press the small black button under each ball. Ensure that the boot is not too tight and that you have enough support
9. The Aircast walking boot is now ready to use. Before you apply the short Aircast Airselect, you may want to slip on a cotton socks to enhance comfort

excellent and smooth hold, the airselect walker boot with its air system keeps my ankle fracture less painful. I dont know what I would do without this brace!
